Neurological Physiotherapy
Neurological conditions are disorders that affect how the brain, spinal cord, autonomic nervous system, and peripheral nerves function. Disruptions within the nervous system can lead to a wide range of symptoms, including paralysis, loss of function, muscle weakness, altered muscle tone (either increased or decreased), ataxia, sensory changes, impaired movement control, pain, and changes in cognitive function.
Common neurological conditions include brain injuries, concussion, dystonia, functional neurological disorders, migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and stroke.
Care is individualized, focusing on each person’s unique needs rather than their diagnosis. Treatment is guided by principles of neuroplasticity and activity-based functional therapy to help retrain movement patterns and support recovery.
By integrating respiratory and neurological physiotherapy, the goal is to improve mobility, enhance functional abilities, support nerve recovery, regulate the nervous system, and optimize overall quality of life.
A holistic, full-body approach is used in the treatment of neurological conditions
